La barri\u00e8re GI permet de faciliter le transport des nutriments de l\u2019intestin vers la circulation sanguine et de limiter \u00e9galement l\u2019entr\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments potentiellement nuisibles comme les bact\u00e9ries pathog\u00e8nes (1)(10).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lorsque la barri\u00e8re est perturb\u00e9e, souvent nomm\u00e9e perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 intestinale (leaky gut), une cascade d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements inflammatoires est d\u00e9clench\u00e9e (1)(10). Chez des <strong>souris<\/strong>, la consommation de collag\u00e8ne hydrolys\u00e9 lors de l\u00e9sions GI a permis de r\u00e9duire l\u2019inflammation intestinale (10). Ces r\u00e9sultats sugg\u00e8rent que le collag\u00e8ne hydrolys\u00e9 pourrait renforcer l&rsquo;int\u00e9grit\u00e9 des ent\u00e9rocytes en modulant l&rsquo;expression des prot\u00e9ines de jonction serr\u00e9e et en r\u00e9duisant l&rsquo;inflammation intestinale (10). Une autre \u00e9tude chez des <strong>rats<\/strong> a observ\u00e9 qu\u2019une alimentation riche en peptides de collag\u00e8ne a permis d\u2019augmenter les niveaux de deux <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/epithelia.ca\/lexique-de-la-sante-intestinale\/\">acides gras \u00e0 cha\u00eene courte (AGCC)<\/a><\/strong> dans les selles (6).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Malheureusement, <strong>aucune \u00e9tude chez l\u2019humain<\/strong> n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 faite pour r\u00e9pliquer les r\u00e9sultats observ\u00e9s en laboratoire. Par contre, cette \u00e9tude a plusieurs limites dont un petit nombre de sujets (14 femmes) et l\u2019absence d\u2019un groupe t\u00e9moin (1). Une \u00e9tude r\u00e9alis\u00e9e chez 20 athl\u00e8tes pendant 8 semaines <strong>n\u2019a observ\u00e9 aucun bienfait<\/strong> suite \u00e0 l\u2019effort, sur l\u2019inflammation, la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 intestinale et les sympt\u00f4mes digestifs avec un suppl\u00e9ment de collag\u00e8ne (10).
