Oatmeal with apple crumble

Ingredients

small apple
unpeeled and diced

rolled oats
(make sure they are certified gluten-free if celiac or intolerant)

tbsp (15 ml)
ground flaxseed
1-2
tbsp (15-30 ml)
sunflower seeds

t. (60 ml)
liquid egg whites

tbsp (45 ml)
protein powder (or milk powder or PVT: textured vegetable protein)

Medjool date, pitted

tsp (2.5 ml)
ground cinnamon
¼
tsp (1.25 ml)
ground nutmeg
Instructions
Mix all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Adjust the amount of liquid according to preference (add water, milk or a vegetable drink).
Microwave for at least 1 minute and/or until desired texture.
Enjoy! (You can top the oatmeal bowl with extra fruit and/or plain Greek yogurt).
Notes
*For those with a sweet tooth, drizzle with maple syrup!
