red onion, peeled

rice vinegar
180 ml
3/4 cup (180 ml)
water
30 ml
30 ml (2 tbsp.)
of sugar
7.5 ml
1 1/2 tsp.
salt
Instructions
Preparation Pickled red onions
Cut onion in half. Slice thinly.
In a saucepan, bring vinegar, water, sugar and salt to the boil and cook until sugar and salt are dissolved (approx. 3-5 minutes).
Place the onions in a sterilized pot and cover with the liquid. Close the lid and let stand for 60 minutes.
Refrigerate at least 1 day before use.
