Nutritional support for weight loss (including Ozempic/Wegovy)
Difficult weight loss despite your efforts, or when taking Ozempic or Wegovy without appropriate nutritional support? You are not alone. At Épithelia, we combine our expertise in digestive health and the intestinal microbiome with structured nutritional support, whether you are taking GLP-1 medication or not.
The longer you wait to adjust your diet, the more difficult it becomes to maintain your long-term results. A first appointment is enough to build a plan of action that suits you.
Our approach: microbiome, digestion and weight management
The link between digestive health, the gut microbiome, and weight management is now well documented. Our expertise in clinical digestive nutrition and our many years of experience supporting women and men in weight loss processes allow us to approach weight loss from a different perspective than generalist nutritionists: we are as interested in what you eat and how you eat, in hunger and satiety signals, as in how your system digests and absorbs.
We do not make promises of quick results. Our goal is to build a sustainable approach that is tailored to your reality and your nutritional needs.
Nutritional support with GLP-1 (Ozempic, Wegovy)
Appropriate nutritional monitoring effectively complements treatment with GLP-1. It makes it possible to manage the often reported digestive side effects (nausea, bloating, constipation, changes in appetite), prevent the loss of muscle mass and bone density associated with a loss of appetite, and adjust portion sizes and meal composition as your appetite changes to avoid short- and long-term nutritional deficiencies.
This is a service that few clinics offer, combining digestive expertise with knowledge of GLP-1 treatments.

Frequently asked questions
Can a nutritionist help me if I am already taking Ozempic or Wegovy?
Yes, nutritional support is highly recommended in addition to GLP-1 treatment to manage digestive side effects and preserve your muscle mass during weight loss, in order to prevent a significant weight regain.
Does the intestinal microbiome influence weight loss?
The microbiome plays a role in regulating appetite, digestion, and energy metabolism. A approach that takes this into account can facilitate more sustainable weight loss.
How to avoid muscle mass loss under GLP-1?
Adequate protein intake and a balanced diet, adjusted to your reduced appetite, help to preserve muscle mass during treatment. We can help you structure this in practical terms.
Does menopause complicate weight loss?
The hormonal changes associated with menopause can indeed influence weight management. A personalized assessment allows the approach to be adapted to this reality.
