Nutrition and anti-inflammatory diet (MICI, Crohn)
Diagnosis of chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn’s disease or persistent inflammation without clear nutritional support? You are not alone. At Épithélia, digestive health is our specialty: our team helps you understand the role of nutrition in managing inflammation, in addition to your medical follow-up.
You don’t have to manage this on your own. A first meeting is enough to build a plan of action that suits you.
What anti-inflammatory support covers
Our team supports people living with IBD (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis) or chronic inflammation diagnosed by their doctor. Our role is to help you identify possible food triggers and structure an eating plan that supports your well-being, without ever replacing the medical follow-up or treatment prescribed by your care team.
Our clinical approach to inflammation
Our approach begins with an in-depth evaluation of your digestive history, diagnosis, and dietary habits. Our nutritionists ask specific clinical questions, often different from those asked by other professionals, to thoroughly understand your situation before building a personalized action plan in coordination with your treating medical team.
Timely follow-up allows us to adjust our approach based on the evolution of your condition, both during periods of exacerbation and during periods of remission. This long-term commitment is part of our approach and contributes to results that persist over time.

Anti-inflammatory diet
Appropriate nutrition can play a supportive role in managing inflammation, but it must be personalized: what works for someone with Crohn’s may not be suitable for someone with ulcerative colitis, and needs also change depending on the phases (flare or remission). Our team helps you structure an eating plan that respects both your condition and your nutritional needs.
Rates and insurance coverage
Nutrition consultations are generally covered, in whole or in part, by collective insurance (receipt submitted for reimbursement). First consultation: 175$. Follow-ups: between 120$ and 135$.
Frequently asked questions
Which foods should be promoted in the case of IBD or Crohn's disease?
It depends on your condition and the stage you are at (progression or remission). A personalized assessment allows you to identify the foods to prioritize and those to limit temporarily, without unnecessarily removing entire food groups.
Can anti-inflammatory food replace medical treatment?
No. Food is a supplement to the treatment prescribed by your doctor; it is never a substitute. Our support is always provided in coordination with your treating medical team.
How to adapt your diet during an inflammatory flare-up?
Food needs often change during a flare-up, especially to limit digestive irritation while maintaining an adequate nutritional intake. We help you adjust your diet based on the evolution of your symptoms.
Ready to better understand the role of nutrition in your condition?
Every week of waiting is one more week without an action plan tailored to your reality. Our clinical nutrition team is here to support you, step by step, in coordination with your medical team.
